Magic UPDATE: It doesn't appear that C Dwight Howard (sore left knee) will play as the Magic expect to rest him to be ready for their next game -- Thursday night's meeting against the San Antonio Spurs in Orlando. . . . C Marcin Gortat is likely to start in Howard's place against the Warriors. . . . The Magic won at Utah on Saturday night without Howard. . . . Orlando looks for its 10th road win of the season and tries to go 4-1 on its longest road trip of the season, having beaten the L.A. Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz. The Magic lost in the last three seconds to the Phoenix Suns.

Warriors UPDATE: Golden State made some significant changes the past year, losing PG Baron Davis as a free agent and signing SG Corey Maggette. They also made a trade with the New York Knicks, acquiring G Jamal Crawford for F Al Harrington on Nov. 21. . . . It's still the same old Warriors under Don Nelson: Plenty of offense, little defense. They average 106.3 points per game, but give up 111.6 and 47.8 rebounds per game, both league highs. . . . Maggette, a former Magic player and the Warriors' leading scorer (19.1 ppg), is said to be on the trading block, according to ESPN.com.

KEY MATCHUP: Whomever plays defense at the end might be the winner. Without Howard, Gortat will have to keep C Andris Biedrins (15.1 ppg, 12.2 rpg) under control.
