The Magic will get some time to catch their breath.
After Tuesday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the Magic play only one game -- in Milwaukee -- until Tuesday April 1 when the New Orleans Hornets come to town. Milwaukee shouldn't be much of a problem, either, having fallen earlier this week to the lowly Miami Heat.
Milwaukee actually beat the Magic early this season when Michael Redd blitzed them for 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, avenging an earlier, 19-point drubbing by the Magic.
The Bucks recently fired their general manager and they could do the same to their coach after the season.
The Magic (46-27) are riding a two-game losing streak, but they don't seem too concerned; still solid in the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
SPURS 107, MAGIC 97: The Magic got a taste Tuesday of how the big boys play.
The Magic led early, but they couldn't hold on, falling to the defending NBA champions who are moving into their playoff mode a little early this season.
Manu Ginobili led everyone with 28 points in reserve. Michael Finley had 24 points, while Tim Duncan had 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Dwight Howard had 24 points and 21 rebounds in another monster game, but it wasn't enough to off-set the balance of the Spurs. The Magic lost Hedo Turkoglu in the second period with a sprained right wrist. Point guard Jameer Nelson left with a bruised jaw after getting hit with an elbow from Howard.
The Spurs (48-23) had more on the line as they jockey for playoff position in the tough Western Conference. The Magic (46-27) remained locked into the No. 3 spot in the weaker East.
The Spurs took charge late in the third quarter, sparked by a pair of blocked shots by Duncan (against Howard), and they never trailed in the fourth quarter.
