--The 32-point loss Wednesday in New Orleans was the worst Magic loss of the season. It wasn't even close. Their previous worst loss came on Dec. 1 when they lost by 19 points in Boston. This time, they were never close to winning, trailing from start to finish.
--The Magic no longer have that aura about playing on the road. Although they were the best road team in the league earlier in the season, they have looked rather tame lately. By losing in New Orleans Wednesday, they lost back-to-back road games for the first time this season. They also had lost in Indiana earlier this week. --The Magic confirmed Tuesday that they plan on borrowing $10 million to offset loses this season, according to Alex Martins, the club's Chief Operating Officer. The NBA is planning to make $175 million available to its teams, and the Magic will tap into that source.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "This goes back to Christmas Day when they beat the (stuffing) out of us. I made sure they (the Hornets' players) remembered that game." -- Hornets coach Byron Scott, after his team crushed the Magic Wednesday.
