ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jameer Nelson, Shooting guard Mickael Pietrus, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Rashard Lewis, Center Dwight Howard. Bench -- Guard Anthony Johnson, Center/Forward Tony Battie, Guard Keith Bogans, Forward Brian Cook.
PLAYER NOTES: --C Adonal Foyle got his first game action of the season Saturday night, benefiting from a number of factors (Hedo Turkoglu inactive with the flu, Dwight Howard in foul trouble, the presence of Houston center Yao Ming), and he made the most of it. Foyle had been on the inactive list for all but one other game this season, and he didn't play in that other game. The Magic used him as the backup center Saturday instead of Tony Battie because of the size of Yao, and the bulk that Foyle provides. Foyle had four points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in 13 first-half minutes.
--F Hedo Turkoglu missed his first game of the season Saturday night because of the flu. Turkoglu shot horribly Friday night when he made only one of 13 attempts against the Pacers. He went into that game not sure why he felt so badly, but he played anyway. When the team returned home, Turkoglu stayed home and didn't come to the arena Saturday.
--C Dwight Howard found himself in serious foul trouble Saturday night for the second time in four games. He got his fourth foul in the first minute of the second half. He struggled early also, getting just four points in seven first-half minutes.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Mickael Pietrus (bruised ribs) missed Tuesday night's game against Toronto, but he returned to play both Friday and Saturday night.
--F Hedo Turkoglu didn't bother coming to the arena Saturday night because of the flu.
--G Mike Wilks (torn ACL) is out for the season, finally having surgery on his right knee on Nov. 19. Although the injury came early in preseason, he had to wait until the swelling went down before he could have surgery.
