PLAYER NOTES: --C Dwight Howard became the first player in franchise history to block at least six shots in three consecutive games. Howard leads the league in both blocked shots and rebounding. He is trying to become the first player since Dikembe Mutombo during the 1995-96 season to average more than 4.0 blocks through a season.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Dwight Howard is playing with a strained stomach muscle on his left side.
--G Mickael Pietrus tore a ligament in his left thumb last week. He is expected to be out for another three weeks.
--G Mike Wilks (torn ACL) is out for the season, recovering from surgery on his right knee. Wilks had to wait almost a month after the injury to have surgery because of the swelling.
