Orlando Magic Roster Report 2009-10-31

Orlando Magic Roster Report 2009-10-31ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jameer Nelson, Shooting guard J.J. Redick, Small forward Mickael Pietrus, Power forward Ryan Anderson, Center Dwight Howard. Bench -- Guard Jason Williams, Forward Matt Barnes, Forward Brandon Bass, Center Marcin Gortat.

--C Dwight Howard had the 24th game of his career with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds, a feat that many good big men never achieve in their careers. Howard, now in his sixth season, had nine of those 20-20 games last season.

--F Rashard Lewis, although suspended for the first 10 games of this season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, still is traveling with the team, working out in the mornings, then watching the games from his hotel room on television. The team wants to keep him close, even though he must be out of the arena at least two hours before the games begin.

--G Jason Williams, for the second consecutive game, played more minutes at point guard than starter Jameer Nelson. He also has looked sharper than Nelson, who missed the second half of last season after shoulder surgery. Williams had eight assists and four points in Friday's victory.

--G Vince Carter (sprained left ankle) is expected to miss at least one game after being hurt in the second quarter Friday night against New Jersey. Carter inadvertantly stepped on a defender's foot on a drive to the basket.

--C Adonal Foyle (right knee) had surgery midway in the preseason but is expected to be ready in another three weeks. He is the Magic's third-string center.
