--F Ryan Anderson is the one whose production was hurt the most when Rashard Lewis returned from that 10-game suspension to start the season. Anderson had struggled to get his shooting stroke since Lewis returned. But he found it again Thursday when Lewis told coach Stan Van Gundy he didn't want to play in the second quarter. Anderson hit 11 points in that period, including three three-point baskets. Lewis returned in the second half, and Anderson finished with just 16 points.

--F Matt Barnes got a big charge out of playing the Suns in Phoenix Friday night. He played in 77 games for the Suns last season, the most enjoyable season of his career.

--G Jason Williams, who didn't play in the NBA last season, said one of his most nervous moments of his life came last year when he played in a charity golf tournament in Los Angeles, and he was the partner of legendary actor Jack Nicholson.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Jameer Nelson (left knee) had surgery to repair some torn cartilage and is expected to be out until late December.

--C Adonal Foyle (right knee) had similar surgery midway in October and he has working out. He started traveling with team again and he should be available soon.
