--G Jameer Nelson won't be playing in the All-Star Game like he expected -- a dislocated shoulder will prevent it -- but he will be busy there all weekend, most of the time alongside teammate Dwight Howard, assisting him during the Slam Dunk competition.

--C Dwight Howard wasn't providing any hints about what he plans for his defense of the Slam Dunk title he won last season, except it might involve his Superman cape he wore last year.

"My cape has been on the charger. I've got to keep it charged at all times," he said Wednesday night. "It's going to make the trip."

--G Tyronn Lue played 16 minutes Wednesday, but he still didn't look comfortable in his second appearance with the Magic. He hit only one of five shots from three-point range, and missed one late in the game that could have helped the Magic get back into the game against Denver.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Jameer Nelson dislocated his right shoulder in the third period of last Monday's game against Dallas. He is expected to miss the rest of the season and he is likely to have surgery soon to repair the problem.

--G Mike Wilks (torn ACL) is out for the season, recovering from surgery on his right knee. Wilks had to wait almost a month after the injury to have surgery because of the swelling.
