Orlando Magic Roster Report 2009-03-18

Orlando Magic Roster Report 2009-03-18
:

ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Rafer Alston, Shooting guard Courtney Lee, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Rashard Lewis, Center Dwight Howard. Bench -- Guard Mickael Pietrus, Guard Anthony Johnson, Center/Forward Tony Battie, Guard J.J. Redick.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Rashard Lewis is going through a rough stretch, especially in the shooting department. Lewis, in the second year of a $117 million contract, has scored only six points or less in three of the last four games. In those three games, he had made just 5-of-33 shots.

--C Dwight Howard had six blocked shots, and usually that means a Magic victory, though not this time. The Magic is 77-37 in games in which he had three or more blocks. In one three-game stretch earlier this season, Howard had at least six blocks in each of those games.

--G Courtney Lee, who came alive with 19 points, worked at a LeBron James basketball camp two summers ago. James didn't treat him very well Tuesday when he drew a foul against Lee in the closing seconds, making it one of the biggest plays of the game.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Jameer Nelson (torn right labrum) is out for the season after surgery.

--G Mike Wilks (torn ACL) is gone for the season, recovering from surgery on his right knee. Wilks was traded to Memphis last week, but he was waived and has returned to Orlando to continue his rehab.
