--C Marcin Gortat, the backup to Dwight Howard, will become a free agent this summer and he is expected to receive some attention from other teams. Gortat should have a busy summer because he said he expects to play for the national team of Poland, which is where he is from.

--F Hedo Turkoglu was a surprise hero Sunday, even though he has carried the Magic through late-game situations in the last two years. Going into Sunday night, Turkoglu had been struggling, hitting only three of 14 shots in the fourth quarter for a combined 10 points in three games.

--F Rashard Lewis has had a rough spring dealing with family issues outside of basketball. His infant daughter had been struggling with a mysterious illness that had her in and out of a local hospital. It finally was diagnosed recently after considerable frustration within the family. Now Lewis is dealing with a younger brother who has been stricken with cancer.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Hedo Turkoglu (sprained left ankle) is playing again but he has been slow to regain his form.

--F Rashard Lewis (right knee tendonitis) also is playing again but he also has not played as well in the post season.

--G Jameer Nelson (torn right labrum) is out for the season after surgery.
